hotcroissant: Ralph McQuarrie, one of the most amazing conceptual artists of our time, passed away last month.  All of the drawings above were rendered by hand.  I remember being shown a book of his work during my product sketching class back in college - the entire class was silent as we slowly flipped through the pages.  His work is truly breathtaking.
